Pays the price every step of the way.

I pulled over and turned the car off to check other things and boom radiator flood drops all over the ground. It all worked out, and after an hour AAA was towing it.

Kinja'd!!!

My point is cheap luxury cars are NOT cheap .

The most expensive car you can buy is a cheap luxury car.

I had the opposite experience. Driving cross state one time my temp gauge spiked, I said “ohh shit” and pulled off at the next exit a mile up. Luckily there was a gas station right there and I let the car cool down. Didn’t see any leaks so I went and bought a jug of coolant.

Topped the car off and had zero problems for the rest of my time with the car, which was over a year. Not that it never saw a flatbed though.

Radiator gave up thanks solely to high miles.

On the plus side; waterpump works

If you notice, he has a hole cut out in the bumper where the radiator goes. Something tells me it’s for a reason.

I’ve never even asked, how many miles are on yours? My engine was still great at 210k miles and I knew another guy with 260k.

Did you just change your avatar?! Nice.

Anyways here is how my pile looked:

Video is from when I was selling it after I crashed it. Might look like poo but I only replaced the plug wires and the alternator in the 2 years I BEAT on it.

Also shitty phone mic can't handle the V8, it sounded great trust me.

At least you weren’t sitting on cloth covered seats while you waited.. lol No luxury cars are not cheap to maintain but for the most part; If a car cost 50k new and you bought it for 11k, and in the first 3 years it costs you another 11k in repairs, then you still win since you still get the same bells and whistles the first shmuck got when he paid the MSRP. This principal only applys to car lovers, and the unique* cars they choose. For example; I am waiting for the prices of w221 S65 AMGs to drop a little further.. cause if I pay 35-40k, and it costs me another 20K in repairs, for a net cost of 60k, I still get to drive a car that used to cost 200k brand new for a little more then 1/4 of the price. Thats how I see it at least.

If I ever decide to mess with the amazing balance/low center of gravity of my FR-S, it will be with a 1UZ. haha

When a luxury car gets to the point that this ones at, it cost about $1000 A year to keep it out of a scrapyard and about $3000 to keep ot roadworthy.(assuming all repairs are self done) But yes its worth every penny, and considering a similar mileage civic would take at least 2k to be roadworthy its a nobrainer.

$1500 with 189k miles on it. Also got it from a shady Metro Detroit dealer that dropped the price immediately on it. But hey I’m all for good cheap fun!

I thought the most expensive car you could buy is a race car.

After all, the best way to make a small fortune in car racing is to start with a much larger one.
